So I finally got a bank account today! Ugh, even I feel a little pathetic saying that. I know I should have had one by now, but give me a break. I’m hoping that this bank account will help me with my spending habits. I mean, it’s bad ya’ll. My payroll was through Umpqua bank. It’s a little bit out of the way from my house, but it’s just off the freeway. Any time I’d need to spend some cash (i.e. gas, snacks, etc.), I’d go to get the whole thing cashed. Now here’s the plot twist. Just 2 minutes away from Umpqua is a little store called Urban Outfitters. Never heard of it? It’s basically my life. So here I am thinking, “Well gee, I’m just so darn close, it’d be a waste of gas to go another time. Let me just take a look around!” 3 hours later and I have zero funds and 5 new clothing items in my bag. With that all summed up, I do hope that this account will hinder my spending habits. The plus side? My debit card with have a Hello Kitty design. :3
